Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

ACM is a computer science professional society with the goal of advancing computing as a science and profession. Each week we bring in industry professionals to give tech talks about the work they’re doing as a computer/data scientist.  Our talks range from workshops on how to build your first web service to explanations of how machine learning is used in recommendation systems. This is a great chance to hear about some of the hottest topics in CS from engineers at companies like Spotify, Google, and Intuit as well as explore different career options within computer science.

Meetings: 7-8pm, 104 WVG, every Thursday (starting 9/13)
