Last year Northeastern was one of only three universities in the United States to produce the maximum number of four Goldwater Scholars. The Goldwater Scholarship is a highly competitive, merit-based award for sophomores, middlers, and juniors majoring in mathematics, the natural sciences, and engineering who are interested in pursuing careers in research.
