SES students study problems that correspond to significant societal challenges, with an emphasis on areas like social networks, autonomous systems, energy systems, financial networks, and urban systems. They learn how to analyze and address these problems by combining the analytical tools and methods of statistics and information sciences with engineering and social science tools and methods.
