The LaCLA (La Comunidad Latina en Acción) Scholarship

The LaCLA (La Comunidad Latina en Acción) Scholarship was established in 1993 by a group of Latinx students at Northeastern University as a way to increase the retention of Latinx students at the university. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage academic excellence of students and promote community service on campus and in Greater Boston. The scholarship is a tuition only award given annually to eight students. Awards are annually renewable for scholars who maintain a 3.0 GPA/QPA, submit FASFA annually, and satisfactorily complete the required 200 hours of community service, under the guidance of the Latinx Student Cultural Center and the LaCLA Chair and Committee.
